Balint Bardi

Balint Bardi is a freelance local producer, field producer, and videographer who has been covering Hungary and the broader Central-Eastern Europe since 2015. He documented the refugee crisis during 2015-2016 and has reported on Eastern European and EU politics, as well as the impacts of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, for major outlets such as CNN, NBC, Vice, The New York Times, and the BBC, among others.

 

While his primary focus is on videography and local production, Balint also has experience in fact-checking, NGO campaigns, and photography. He is based in Budapest, Hungary, where he grew up. A native Hungarian, Balint speaks fluent English and is currently learning Russian at a gradual pace.
